Restore Aesthetics and Function with Natural-Looking Dentures

Dentures are an excellent solution for patients who need to replace missing teeth with natural-looking prosthetics. Whether you are interested in a full or partial restoration, traditional or implant-supported dentures, we can precisely tailor your treatment to accommodate your needs. Dr. Conrad C. Casler, Jr. both places and restores dental implants at our Tulsa, OK, practice, so regardless of which type you choose, you can expect to experience efficient, streamlined care.

A Trusted Restorative Option

One of the most common teeth replacement options in dentistry, dentures have been a trusted treatment option for decades. Dentures can be crafted from a variety of materials, from acrylic to ceramic porcelain. Each set is custom-made for the patient’s exact needs and aesthetic goals. Advances in modern dentistry have made it possible to fabricate beautiful, natural-looking dentures that produce a brilliant smile.

There are various types of dentures available to patients today. The options offered by Dr. Casler include:

Traditional Full and Partial Dentures

If you need to replace a full arch of missing teeth, your doctor may recommend traditional dentures. These restorations rest directly on the gums and are held in place by dental adhesive. If you still have some remaining healthy teeth, a partial denture can fill the spaces in your smile. Special dental clasps are often used to attach the partial denture to your adjacent teeth, providing additional stability. Conventional dentures are a cost-effective treatment method that is often covered by insurance.

Implant-Supported Dentures

In order to achieve greater stability, your restoration can be supported by dental implants. The most successful teeth replacement option available today, dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically inserted into the jawbone. Because your denture is directly affixed to the implants, shifting is eliminated. Dental implants also preserve your natural jaw structure, preventing further bone loss.

The Treatment Process

During your first visit with Dr. Casler, he will talk with you in detail to determine your restorative goals. X-rays and scans will be taken to evaluate your jawbone and joints, and to assess the locations of nerves and sinuses. Next, impressions of your bite will be taken. This information will be sent to our trusted dental lab for the fabrication of your new denture. This process typically takes about two weeks but can vary depending on the case.

Advances in modern dentistry have made it possible to fabricate beautiful, natural-looking dentures that produce a brilliant smile.

Once your new prosthesis arrives, we will schedule you for an appointment. Dr. Casler will make sure your denture fits comfortably and will make any necessary adjustments. In the case of an implant-supported denture, it must be noted that a healing period of four to six months may be required before the placement of your final restoration.
